A slow paced, mat based yin yoga practice offered in the middle of the week.
Above all, an excellent class to reconnect, reflect and tune into your own well-being with slow and gentle yoga movements.
Classroom is cleaned before yoga practice and mat spacing is 6 feet apart.
We supply various props such as blankets, bolsters, blocks, chairs and straps to explore alignment, strength and balance.
Feel free to bring your own props too.
Arrive early to your first class for registration.
Classes are located in Classroom 107 at the Abita Recreation District 11 Gym, 22519 Highway 36, Abita Springs, LA 70420.
Purchase an 8 (eight) class package for $45 ($5.63 per class) or a drop in class fee of $8.00.
Sign in sheets will be provided by the Recreation Center for students at each class to track class attendance.
In addition, students outside of the Abita Springs Recreation District will be charged an annual out-of-district fee of $25.
I invite you to these body affirming yoga classes that make poses accessible to all shapes and body sizes.
In other words, no yoga experience or flexibility is required, options are available for all levels.

A mat based practice focused on connecting the breath with strength building, and weight bearing (through the knees or wrists) movements. For those new to yoga or interested in a flow practice, join us for graceful movements and beginner yoga poses.
In short, this class gets the heat on and offers more challenging options.
Classroom is cleaned before yoga practice and mat spacing is 6 feet apart.

This class is a slow paced, chair based practice of soothing stretches to loosen muscles, reduce stress and improve circulation while boosting your mood and reducing stress and joint strain. Yoga poses are modified so they can be done while seated in a chair to make yoga accessible an all inclusive no matter your experience level or physical condition. Please join me for mindful stillness and warm up movements that will energize the body and help you enjoy the rest of the day with openness and ease.

This class is a gentle, mat based practice that concentrates on connecting the breath with strength building, weight bearing (through the knees and wrists) movements. For those that are new to yoga or who are interested in a gently practice, please join us for some graceful movements and gentle beginner yoga poses.
